Opioid Use Disorder Treatment

At Genesis Detox of Brooklyn, we provide personalized care for opioid use disorders. Our approach includes stabilization and maintenance using Buprenorphine (Suboxone) or tapering patients off opioids with Methadone or Buprenorphine (Suboxone). We acknowledge the discomfort of opioid withdrawal and administer non-narcotic medications to alleviate symptoms, ensuring a safe and effective recovery. The typical duration for our opioid detox program ranges from 5 to 7 days, depending on the patient's specific situation.

Alcohol Use Disorder Treatment

Our alcohol detox program addresses the life-threatening risks associated with alcohol withdrawal, primarily using Librium and, if necessary, Diazepam (Valium), or other benzodiazepines. We understand the physical discomfort of alcohol withdrawal and provide non-narcotic medications to manage symptoms. Please note that we cannot accept patients with a recent history of alcohol-related seizures but can assist in finding an appropriate detox facility. The average length of stay for our alcohol detox program is 4 to 8 days depending on individual circumstances.

Benzodiazepine Use Disorder Treatment

Genesis Detox of Brooklyn's benzodiazepine detox program addresses the dangers of abruptly stopping benzodiazepines, such as Xanax (Alprazolam), Klonopin (Clonazepam), Ativan (Lorazepam) or Valium (Diazepam). Our treatment includes long-acting benzodiazepines to manage withdrawal symptoms, which can be both physically and emotionally challenging. Please note that we cannot accept patients with a recent history of benzodiazepine-related seizures but can assist in finding an appropriate detox facility. The average length of stay for our benzodiazepines detox program is 6 to 10 days depending on individual circumstances.

Polysubstance Use Disorder Treatment

For individuals struggling with polysubstance use disorders, Genesis Detox of Brooklyn offers comprehensive detox treatment plans. We address each substance independently and focus only on opioids, alcohol, and benzodiazepines. Our medical withdrawal protocols are tailored to each patient's unique needs, and we utilize non-narcotic medications to manage additional withdrawal symptoms. The average length of stay for our polysubstance detox program is 5 to 8 days depending on individual circumstances
